Who said boys don't like to read?
If he's building a computer for the first time, a motherboard manual is no problem!

When he knows how to build a computer from parts in 10 minutes, could he help your small business?

Who says girls are afraid of technology? They are often better at it than boys!

Teenagers carry around more technology in their pockets: cell phones, ipods or PDAs than most adults. They play with game consoles and other high technology devices for hours on end. Many interact with social networks on a daily basis. In 2011, they are expected to spend $208 billion on products and services.

If this is true, why is it that when compared to the overall unemployment rate of 10%,  the teenage unemployment rate is 25% and for African American teens is 50%?

After 12 years of "education", many students have some knowledge, little motivation, and very few skills.

The goal of the Deerfield Beach High Tech Academy is to help teens translate their knowledge of technology into skills that will help them become creators of technology and give them an advantage in the 21st century marketplace.
